UX/UI Designer
What you will achieve (mission)
You translate the concepts of concept designers into intuitive and qualitative user flows, using components to create user-friendly and visually appealing screens. You balance usability, accessibility, and overall satisfaction to bridge the gap between user intent and business objectives, delivering innovative user experiences.
What you will do (responsibilities)
- Designing all flow paths and screen states with a qualitative and goal-oriented result
- Owning the digital user flow from a UX/UI perspective
- Gathering input from stakeholders on user needs and technical feasibility
- Seeking inspiration from best practices within and outside the financial sector
- Ensuring an intuitive information hierarchy at the screen level
- Designing high-fidelity mockups and prototypes
- Following up on user feedback from usability testing
- Collaborating closely with a UX copywriter for content integration in the design
- Actively using and contributing to the design system: mobile native & web Mobile First
- Contributing to the UX/UI community of practice (COP UX/UI) through knowledge sharing and co-creation of patterns, standards, and guidelines
- Taking the lead in the refinement phase of projects and supporting concept designers with visual assistance in the ideation phase
- Delivering prototypes and pixel-perfect screens, handing over to development squads, and following up on implementation with front-end developers
Who you are (skills and competencies)
Specialized knowledge (Craft skills)
- Mobile First mindset with proven mobile native design skills (Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines)
- Knowledge of Agile and familiar with the Scrum development cycle
- Accessibility mindset and good knowledge of WCAG guidelines and their impact on design and development
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch
- Experience with design systems, using and improving components
- Understanding of the technical impact of designs; front-end development background is a plus
- Good at documenting work and developing briefs for researchers and developers
- Fluent in French or Dutch (C1 level), preferably a native speaker of one of the two
- Good knowledge of English (B1/B2 level), speaking and writing is important
