Business Analyst
In the Risk & Credits tribe, the risk cluster is in charge of the set-up of the risk data and calculation infrastructure. This includes the development and maintenance of a central credit pricing calculator.
The calculator:
- enables the front end applications to offer an interest rate to a customer
- enables the front end applications to collect the necessary input Mission data per product type
- coordinates the calculation of the interest rate
- collects information on pricing components such as transfer price, expected loss, capital requirements and commercial margin from other calculators and combines all information to determine the final interest rate
- provides the required detail to the front end such that the relationship manager can evaluate the proposed interest rate and adjust if necessary
The goal is to build a single pricing calculator for all credit products and all customer segments. This should enable:
- a common risk-based pricing methodology
- compliance with legislation and regulation
- cost reduction through simplification and reuse
Main tasks as business analyst:
- translate business requirements from end users and the Risk department in detailed specifications
- functional analysis: translate business requirements in description system requirements
- technical analysis: translate business requirements in pseudo-code
- develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) as part of report development
- use SQL queries (SQL Server, Oracle) for test & analysis purposes
Language requirements
- Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, Dutch basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French)
- Fluent/good in speaking & understanding, French basic/good in writing (required at least for either Dutch or French)
- Fluent in writing, good in speaking & understanding English
Education
- Graduate or college (university) degree preferred
- Good math skills
- Comfortable with simple to medium complexity mathematical notation
- Focus on mathematics in education or professional
Experience
- 4 to 5 years of experience in functional analysis & development
- Experience as an analyst in large scale IT development
- Expertise in data/process analysis, requirements documentation, testing
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Medium to expert knowledge of standard MS tools and technologies: Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Access mandatory
- Thorough SQL experience
- Functional / technical analysis skills
- Testing capabilities
- Technical experience with development on distributed technologies (Java, PostgreSQL)
- Preferable experience with software integration projects
- Experience with process & change management
- Experience with working in a large company/complex business environment
- Business credit / credit risk knowledge (Basel II, ?)
- Economics and/or mathematics background preferable
- Knowledge of BNPPF environment (business side and/or IT department)
