As Project Manager of different projects at Axepta BNP Paribas, you ensure that projects are appropriately prepared, planned, run and completed on time and within budget and with the necessary quality (reach the business case). You manage and mitigate project risks along the project and guarantee that the project's objectives are met (according to scope). You create transparency for all stakeholders.

Projects are separate to usual day-to-day business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives. Capacity planning is key to have the necessary availability and focus across the project team members.

A project manager is accountable for the realisation of a project (*):
setup of the project:

  • agree project objectives with management and stakeholders
  • ensure project effort and cost estimation
  • ensure project planning
  • ensure project sourcing: setup of project staffing and/or sub-contracting
monitoring of the project:
  • ensure availability of all project deliverables, observing scope, quality (a.o. functional requirements, work orders towards internal or external suppliers), costs and deadlines as foreseen in the plans
  • ensure that all objectives and requirements are taken into account
  • monitor and manage all risks related to the project
respect of rules and standards:
  • ensure application of the gating principles at the different project stages
  • ensure that all involved parties, including sub-contractors, adhere to enterprise rules and standards (including Compliance, Permanent Control and Operational Risk)
documentation and reporting on the project:
  • ensure that the different project documents are created and maintained during the project?s life to reflect all changes occurred
  • publish the regular progress reports
  • contribute to the preparation of the project steering committees
representation of the project:
  • participate in the project steering committees and other appropriate meetings
  • ensure communication between the business and the different stakeholders
handover of the project deliverables:
  • continuously align and share information during the project with the parties who will ensure the ?run? activity once the project is finished,
  • handover at the end of the project

Function description
If no organizational (dedicated) change manager is appointed, the Project Manager is responsible for the design of the change management plan together with the Core Team, and for the coordination of the change management actions in order to come to an adoption of the solution.
If no (dedicated) test manager is appointed, the Project Manager is responsible for making sure test plans are prepared in due time, and executed and followed up (with suppliers, with analysts, with business experts).
He/she manages functionally (on content) the team assigned to his/her project.
Project managers typically lead by example.
A project manager can manage one or more projects.

Sound knowledge of one of the 2 local languages Dutch or French (written and orally), with good understanding of the other language Dutch (allowing project members to express themselves in one of the 2 local languages)

At least 5-6 years of relevant experience

Practical experience with running projects involving Salesforce (main tool at Axepta BNP Paribas, from lead mngt to invoicing) - good understanding of the integrated solution and components (CPQ, FSL, CRM, ...) and concepts mandatory Technical experience
Strong expertise in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Teams) and light automations
Experience with Agile accelerator module of Salesforce preferable
Solid experience in project management methods, processes and tools (Waterfall methods like Prince2 (> 5y) , Agile (> 3y), Clarity, MS Projects) Required experience/ knowledge
Projects are executed in waterfall mode but with use of good techniques from Agile (like standups for follow up, retrospectives, working with minimal via products for intermediary value, etc). Experience in both methods and use of 'best of both' should be demonstrated in a context similar to Axepta's.
Business mandatory experience

  • Facilitation skills and orchestrating multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Experience in working closely together with external service providers
  • Experience in the concerned domain(s), either banking regulatory aspect is very relevant for Axepta
