The architecture team sets out and follows up the architecture guidelines of all starting big projects and assures the quality of the existing and new patrimony of applications.
Mission:
Application Development projects
§ Design the technical (.NET) architecture of all starting application development projects.
§ Explain, coach & follow-up the .NET development team during these projects.
§ Give support to the development team & help to solve all occurring problems during development.
§ Collaborate with the colleague .NET architects and constructively come to the best solutions.
§ Collaborate with colleague architects to integrate the .NET part of the solution in the global solution.
§ Report to project leaders & managers on risks, issues, planning,…
Migration projects VB6 to .NET
§ Assess vendors & outsourcers on the quality of proposed migration projects.
§ Review the quality (with & without tools) of migrated applications.
§ Report to project leaders & managers on risks, issues,…
Quality Assurance
§ Assure the quality of new built and existing applications.
§ Propose the required standards, guidelines, best practices to keep the maintain the quality at a high level.
§ Propose tools, techniques to be able to maintain the quality at a high level.
§ Analyze performance issues, search for root causes & solve these issues.
§ Propose KPI’s to track quality or performance on a recurrent basis.
Profile:
5 - 10 years experience in application development in Microsoft VB or .NET
· At least 3 years on application architecture and design
· Specialist in C#.NET development
· Knowledge of VB6 development
· Knowledge of SQL Server
· Knowledge about application development frameworks
· Knowledge of AJAX developments
· Experience in solving application related performance problems
· Knowledge of Portal technology as for instance: Microsoft Sharepoint Portal.
· Deep knowledge and experience of architecture: design patterns, architecture methodologies,
development guidelines,…
· Building and constructing technical design of .NET applications
