.net analyst/designer (BE-Brussels)


We are looking for an analyst to strengthen the team that is developing the front end using .NET technology.


Mission:

Be the ‘bridge’ between the business consultants from the mainframe team and the .NET
development team. Make sure that the user interface conforms to the proper standards (and help to
improve standards).

Analysis and design (web based applications)
- Validation of the user interface part of the user requirements documents
- Creation of detailed design documents of the user interface (Workflow diagrams & description,
screen description)
- Also be able to provide training to others on how to create those documents
- Create screen lay out propositions (mock ups)

Plan and follow up on development
- Provide estimations (required number of mandays)
- Plan and follow up on tasks for the developers of the team
- Perform testing (Quality Assurance)


Profile:

Required level and content of education:
Master or bachelor degree in IT or at least 5 years of relevant IT experience

Mandatory:
- Good analytical skills
- Work in an organized and structured way
- Team player
- Able to work in a large complex organization
- Flexible
- Problem solving attitude

Business experience required
Mandatory:
- 5+ years of professional experience in an Information Services environment
Preferable:
- Knowledge of the Insurance industry is a plus.

Technical experience required
Mandatory:
- Software development background (Microsoft technologies).
- Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles
- Experienced user of MS Office tools.
Preferable:
- Knowledge on web site ergonomy is a plus
- Experience with web design

Functional experience required
Mandatory:
- Two or more years of experience of functional analysis and design
- Experience of client-server web based applications
Preferable:
- Knowledge of Prince2 concepts / CMMI is a plus
